NO.1
In the past, people were friendlier than they are today.
With the acceleration of life pace, the time when people can interact with others has been squeezed to a limited amount so that they become more indifferent to others’ business.
论据:
The above logic is particularly true of students today. As we know, the increasingly heavy study burden has dramatically decreased the leisure time of students. To be specific, students nowadays are also immersed in various assignments, like group project, quiz and so on. According to a survey conducted by Education Ministry of China, the time students spent on learning in 2014 was more than 8 hours per day, while this figure in 1994 was only 6 hours every day. The great difference in the two figures clearly demonstrate that student’s study time has increased a lot, which in turn decreased their free time. And less free time means that students have less chances to communicate with others and thus become less hospitable.
Under the increasingly fierce competition in many areas, people become rivalry to each other and thus become less hospitable than before.
论据:
One defining character of people is the degree to which they tend to care more about their own interests. Job hunting is a good case in point. Just imagine that there are 10 candidates competing for one position, which means that the winner has to outcompete the others. Obviously, each candidate would regard others as his enemies instead of friends, thus providing no help for the other one.
NO.2
For a business to be successful, it must spend a lot of money on advertising.
主观点选择不同意,即认为it is an overstatement to claim that For a business to be successful, it must spend a lot of money on advertising.
Admittedly, advertising can attract the attention of customers and thus contribute to the success of a company to some extent. As we know, the function of ads is to raise the fame of certain products and thus increase the sales volume. However, to consider advertising to be the best is an exeggeration, for there are other ways to make the company become successful.
2. Para.3:
In the first place, ensuring the quality of products is a key factor to determine the success of a business.
论据:
For example, there has been a scandal of milk powder in China. It was reported that the milk powder producer used some chemicals in the process of making infant milk powder, which would pose a deadly threat to infants' health. Although the producer advertised for its products through various media and hired a lot of celebrities to build its image, it ended up with failure. The bankruptcy of this company is quite natural because the quality of a business is the bottom line of a business’s survival, let alone its success.
Furthermore, another factor contributing to the success of an industry is the innovative ability.
论据:
Innovation and creativity provides the direct impulse for a company to make progress and eventually safeguard its success. The success of the Apple Corporation is a good case in point. As we know, Steve Jobs, the former CEO of Apple, was a person who was bold enough to try new things. He was dedicated to making a brand new cellphone - iPhone, whose design and function was totally different from any telephones in the past. All these changes were so innovative and radical that no one dared to attempt, which turned out to be a great success. Now iPhone became the best seller and the Apple Corporation began to dominate the telephone market. The above example sufficiently illustrates how innovation makes a company stand out and achieve success.

NO.3
The rules that young people must follow and obey in today's society are too strict.
波波建议,选择不同意,即认为:the statement that the rules imposed on young people are too strict is an exaggeration.
First of all, it is quite necessary to discipline young people in a strict way owing to their immaturity of psychological state.
论据:
In other words, young people are weak in legal and moral awareness so that they are prone to make terrible mistakes and error without the guidance of rigid action codes. According to a survey of crime rates in 2010 from the National Police Ministry, the juvenile crime rates wais pretty high, approximating to14.3%. After taking a further analysis of this figure, it is easy to find that 87.3% of young criminals come from single-parent household or divorced household which means lack of strict disciplining from their parents. Another more striking figure from National Department of Human and Society is the divorce rate of post-80 couples, which is nearly twice as many as their counterparts born in the 1950s. All these are caused by nothing but the immaturity of young adults. Therefore, it is of great necessity to impose strict requirements on young people.
Secondly, the regulations and rules requiring young people are not as strict as
those in the past.
论据:
Mencius, one of the greatest philosopher and educator in China, once remarked that the more demanding the way a teacher treats his disciples is, the more excellent they will become, which was regarded as the gold law to regulate youngsters in the past. However, this quotation does not apply to the current situation any more. There are plenty of instances that can justify my viewpoint. In the past, it was forbidden in the class to interrupt teachers' lecture without raising your hand, while fiercely debating with professors is nothing uncommon nowadays. In the past, students sat or stood up in a required way, which has gone and never returned. Today students are even allowed to bring their cell phones into the classroom. From all above examples, no one could deny that young people are under less strict regulation than their counterparts in the past. So there is no reason to say that youngsters today are required in a too strict way.
NO.4
Should a school focus more on purchasing new equipment or recruiting better teachers?
此题是一个比较类题目,而且发现比较的两项:设备和老师, 是可以共存的,对于这样的题目,最简单的写法是选择两者同等重要,即认为equal amount of financial resources should be distributed to buying teaching equipment and employing famous scholars because both of them are vital to safeguarding the education quality.
First of all, purchasing facilities is not only important but necessary for universities to invest money, in order to create a better learning enviroment for students.
论据:
As for its importance, under the background of constant technological innovation, high-tech facilities have become an integral part of teaching process. The occasions where teachers used the blackboard and chalk to present a class are becoming rare. By contrast, the projector and multimodal equipments, which can play videos and pictures, are more frequently used by our professors. What’s worse, the shortage of facilities will make universities withdraw some courses such as the chemical experiments. When it comes to the high cost of these facilities, universities are the only agency who can afford it.
Secondly, famous teachers play an important role in improving the level of education and strengthening the academic research ability of the whole universities.
论据:
Famous professors are usually better at teaching students, thus making students more concentrated during class. Take my own experience as an example. When I was a sophomore majoring in lingusitics, I was honored to attend the lecture by Halliday, the founder of functional linguistics. In the whole process of listening to the lecture, I was totally engrossed in taking notes and interpreting his enlightening words. I learned quite a lot from the lecture. If universities can hire professor like Halliday, students will benefit a lot. In addition, the research fruits have become one of the most important standard to measure the overall power of a university. Hiring more famous professor means more research achievement, thus benefiting the university too.
