A website I often visit is Baidu,which is the most popular search engine in China.
Millions of people here use it every day,not just on their computers but also their cellphones through the mobile app.You can use Baidu to search for information about anything,and it basically serves as a gateway to other websites.
I first started using Baidu when I was a kid,ever since I began using computers,and I use it quite frequently these days—almost every day,in fact—for a variety of purposes.
One of the main things I use it for is to search for information that can help me with school.For example,I recently had to write a paper on the history of green tea,which was a topic I wasn’t that familiar with.However,it was extremely easy for me to find information about this topic on Baidu.I just typed in the search terms,pressed“Enter”,and links appeared for websites that provided the information.So yeah,search engines like Baidu make researching much more convenient and efficient,and I’m really thankful for this.Sometimes,there are annoying advertisements on the search pages,but I’m mostly able to ignore them.I also use Baidu for issues in my daily life.For instance,if I have a question about a product I’m interested in,I type in the question and browse the answers on Baidu Tieba,which is an online forum that allows users to interact with each other,posting and answering each other’s questions.It’s been quite helpful to me over the years.
