我们在之前的文章中提到过IELTS写作官方提出的要求：即考生要结合题目中出现的问题提出解决方法、论述和证明一个看法、对比和对照论据或看法、或者评价和反驳一个论点或观点。这篇作文的内容是学术性的，因此考生应该运用正规的学术写作的、议论性的文体。既然是议论性的文体，那就不得不研究如何去写“主题句”。主题句的精彩写作不仅会让文章条理分明，更能够很好的诠释文章主题思想，可谓是文章的架构灵魂，所以，写好主题句对一篇文章的好坏有着至关重要的作用。
我们首先来看这段文字：
White wall is better than purple ones, purple is suitable for bedroom,there should be a comfortable sofa in the living room. I like watching movies. Balcony is a perfect place for morning exercise. Morning exercise is a good starter for a new day.
在阅读完上面这个段落后不难发现，里面提到了很多内容，但是彼此之间缺乏逻辑联系，而且缺少一个主题句，所以很难称其为段落。而这个现象在很多考生的雅思大作文写作中非常普遍：主题句观点不明确，段内句子间缺乏逻辑性。
首先，我们需要明确两个概念：段落和主题句。
A paragraph is a self-contained unit of a discourse in writingdealing with a particular point or idea. A paragraph consists of one or more sentences.
围绕一个特定的观点进行展开称之为段落。
Topic sentences helps organize the paragraph bysummarizing the information in the paragraph and connect to an essay's thesis statement. In formal writing, the topic sentence is usually the first sentence in a paragraph.
主题句是对立场的支持和拓展，同时总结一个段落主旨的句子；它通常写在段落的首句。
如何写好主题句：
1.明确表达观点：主题句应直接、清晰地表达文章的中心思想或主要观点。例如，在讨论环境保护的话题时，主题句可以是“One of the most pressing issues in today’s world is environmental degradation.”
2.使用连接词或短语：在主题句中使用适当的连接词或短语，如“However, Despite this, Therefore”等，可以帮助考生在表达反对意见或总结观点时更加明确和有逻辑。例如，“However, it is important to acknowledge that [观点2] has its limitations.”
3.围绕一个特定的观点进行展开：每个段落应围绕一个主题句展开，通过解释、例子等支撑主题句。例如，主体段的结构通常为5句话：第一句是主题句，第二至第四句用解释、例子支撑主题句，第五句解释、例子或总结全段。
4.避免句子之间没有联系：在撰写大作文时，应确保段落中的句子之间有逻辑联系，形成一个完整的段落。避免句子之间各自为阵，没有形成一个有意义的讨论段落。
通过上述技巧，考生可以更好地构建雅思大作文的主题句，从而确保文章的逻辑性和条理性，进而提高作文的整体质量。
